Pro Planting Tablets Specifications

Pro Planting Tablets (21 gram size - 500 Tablets) supply the nitrogen needed by most plants for up to 2 years. These tablets break down slowly through the action of soil bacteria which convert the tablet nutrients to forms that can be absorbed by the plant roots.

New Landscape Plantings - Bare root or balled & burlapped
- For each 12 to 18 inches of plant height, or spread, or for each 1/2 inch of tree trunk diameter at the base
- Use 20 grams for slow-growing plants
- Use 40 grams for fast-growing plants or poor soil situations
- Method
  - Dig hole, position plant at proper level and backfill to within 6 to 8 inches of soil surface
  - Place tablet(s) beside the root ball about 1 inch from root tips. DO NOT place in the bottom of the hole
  - Continue backfilling, tamp and water
Established Plantings - Trees, Shrubs, Roses, Vines and Perenials of all sizes
- For each 12 to 18 inches of plant height, or spread, or for each 1/2 inch of tree trunk diameter at the base
- Use 20 grams for slow-growing plants
- Use 40 grams for fast-growing plants or poor soil situations
- Method
  - Punch holes 6 to 8 inches deep in soil around the dripline
  - Divide the recommended number of tablets among the holes
  - Insert the tablets, close the holes
